Aramex completes its largest acquisition of Florida e-commerce company MyUS for $265 million

Aramex Buys Florida MyUS: The Dubai-headquartered courier, Aramex announced on Wednesday it completed its largest-ever acquisition of the Florida-based e-commerce firm, Access USA Shipping (MyUS) for $265 million in cash.

Why Aramex Buys Florida MyUS?

Under the recently completed acquisition, MyUS will be fully integrated into Aramex’s business and operate as a unit of its courier business.

The US company will retain its brand and operate alongside Aramex’s subscription-based last-mile e-commerce solutions platform, Shop & Ship.

Moreover, the acquisition will enable the courier to further expand its cross-border express operations and outreach to reach a broader customer base in the North American market so Aramex Buys Florida MyUS.

“Our shareholders will immediately see the impact on financial performance, and over the long term, we can unlock further value through operational and cost synergies,” Aramex CEO, Othman Aljeda said.

According to Aramex, the e-commerce firm registered $100 million in revenue in 2021 and has a broad customer base of nearly 180,000 active customers.

Transaction details

While the company has announced that the transaction is valued at $265 million, Aramex said that the purchase price is subject to “customary adjustments,” without providing further details.

Citi provided the financial advisory to Aramex, while Cravath, Swaine & Moore were the company’s legal advisors.

UBS was the financial advisor and King & Spalding was the legal advisor to all sellers, including an affiliate of Palm Beach Capital, a Florida-based private equity firm, according to Aramex.
